Adam Rok

Adam Rok is a Marine Science PhD student in the Martens Lab at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He received his undergraduate degree in Environmental Sciences, with a minor in Marine Science, from UNC Chapel Hill. Adam’s research focuses on understanding the dynamic biogeochemical and physical processes that occur in various coastal systems, specifically in relation to dissolved Oxygen and the physical forces that dictate Oxygen distributions. He specializes in the use of in situ time series equipment to develop models and budgets for these coastal systems. Adam has had deep sea research experience as well, with his involvement in multiple Gulf of Mexico research cruises focusing on developing an understanding for how methane is moved by deep sea currents.
