Becca Horwitz is a PhD candidate at Rutgers University studying oceanography. She is interested in the connections between physical and biological processes in coastal systems. Her work integrates a range of observational tools—including satellite products, ocean gliders, meteorological station data, and high-frequency radar—to examine both historical trends and real-time dynamics. Becca is committed to communicating her findings to an array of stakeholders and advancing understanding of coastal systems globally via ocean observing networks.
