Françoise Gervais joined NEPTUNE Canada in 2011 as marine ecosystems and biodiversity specialist, helping to catalogue deep sea species. She has published NEPTUNE Canada's first Marine Life Field Guide. After earning her master's in environment and ecology from Laval University, Françoise worked on a variety of conservation projects prior to joining NEPTUNE Canada. Always willing to participate in fieldwork, she has conducted numerous fauna and flora surveys and environmental assessments, and has contributed to the creation of a number of natural reserves. Françoise is an avid scuba diver, birder, hunter, traveller and photographer. She loves exploring the world around her and sharing her fascination for the outdoors and wildlife. Her passion for the wilderness has inspired Françoise to explore some of the world's most remote and beautiful regions, including Nunavik and Patagonia.
