Gerardo is an Analytical Chemist (2010) from the University of Concepción and an Industrial Civil Engineer (2020) from the University of Bio Bio. He has specialized in instrumental chemical analysis and the implementation of sampling and analysis systems. Currently, he serves as the Director of Management and Laboratories at the Center for Oceanographic Instrumentation (CIO) at the University of Concepción and actively collaborates on projects at the Millennium Institute of Oceanography (IMO). In this expedition, Gerardo will be part of the IMO team involved in deploying the PPS and integrating it with the QuAAtro39-SEAL analyzer to obtain high-resolution nutrient profiles in the water column.
