Dr. Gregorio Bigatti is a Principal Researcher of CONICET, Argentina at Laboratorio de Reproducción y Biología Integrativa de Invertebrados Marinos (LARBIM) in the Instituto de Biología de Organismos Marinos (IBIOMAR) at CCT CONICET-CENPAT.
Dr. Bigatti received his Ph.D from the Universidad de Buenos Aires in 2005and actually is also Professor of Malacology at the Universidad Nacional de la Patagonia San Juan Bosco (UNPSJB) in Puerto Madryn, Patagonia Argentina. His major interests are marine invertebrates’ biodiversity, reproduction, ecology, physiology and integrative biology from Atlantic Patagonia coastal waters. Dr. Bigatti has participated of a cruise to Antarctica studding marine benthic invertebrate biodiversity at different depths and this will be his second research cruise where he will participate in outreach activities. He also is part of ProyectoSub Foundation a initiative of marine conservation and educational outreach.
