Haleigh is entering her fourth year as an undergraduate Environmental Systems student at UC San Diego with a focus in Ecology, Behavior, and Evolution. Her main interests involve environmental education and outreach as well as gaining more exposure in marine science research. During her time at UCSD, she was a volunteer in Stuart Sandin’s lab assisting in designing coral reef ecosystem mosaics. Haleigh is currently a volunteer in Lisa Levin’s lab. She spent her winter and spring quarter assisting in understanding benthic community dynamics in hypoxic zones working under Natalya Gallo. Haleigh is extremely excited to be participating in her first research cruise. She will be analyzing the samples collected and processed and using them for her senior project.
