Lead Technician
John Fulmer is one of Falkor’s Marine Technicians. John grew up in Halifax, Nova Scotia where he received a bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from Dalhousie University. After graduating, he spent four years as a first mate aboard sailing yachts in the Mediterranean and Caribbean, fulfilling his passion for the ocean. Seeking a more meaningful career at sea, John completed an advanced diploma in Marine Geomatics from the NSCC Center of Geographic Sciences. This resulted in a research position with the Applied Oceans Research Group at NSCC, headed by NSERC Industrial Research Chair, Dr. Craig Brown, where they focused on habitat suitability maps for industry partners and the Canadian Department of Fisheries and Oceans.
