Jovelle Tamayo is a Filipina American photographer, filmmaker, and journalist based in Seattle, Washington. Their bylines appear in various news outlets, including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, NPR, The Washington Post, and TIME. In addition to her work as a visual storyteller, Jovelle is a media educator for youth and college students, a freelance multimedia editor, and a storytelling equity consultant. As a founding member and Board member of the Authority Collective, Jovelle helps build community and opportunity for image-makers of color.
