Lachlan is a PhD student at the Australian Centre for Field Robotics at the University of Sydney, Australia. His research topic concerns algorithms enabling sharing of information between robots to better determine their position in environments where communication is limited. Previously he has been involved in other underwater robotics expeditions to the Mediterranean Sea, Lake Geneva and along the east coast of Australia. He previously obtained a BE (Mechatronic Engineering) (Hons) and BSc in mathematics and physics from the University of Sydney, Australia.
