Lerma Gamiao is a geology and geophysics major at UH Manoa expecting to graduate in May of this year with a B.S. In the four years that she has worked on this major, she has grown in interested in geophysic, hydrogeology and petrological work. She works as an undergrad laboratory assistant doing petrological work with minerals such as olivine and Hawaiian basalt. Lerma likes to be outdoors and go hiking, and enjoys the sunsets at the end of the day. She hopes to work and gain some hands on experience after graduation and then attend graduate school. This will be Lerma's first time on a research vessel.
