Lucas Carabajal is an undergraduate student in Biological Sciences at Facultad de Ciencias, Universidad de la República, Uruguay, and a voluntary collaborator at Montevideo’s Museo Nacional de Historia Natural. His research focuses on the systematics and biogeography of corals and other invertebrates. He has experience in processing and curating biological samples and is currently working on his thesis on the diversity of black corals in Uruguayan waters. This is his first expedition on a research cruise, and he’s very excited to be aboard RV Falkor (too).
