Maarten de Moor (he/him/el)Title and Institution: Assistant Professor, Observatorio Vulcanológico y Sismológico de Costa, Universidad Nacional, Heredia, Costa RicaMaarten de Moor is a volcanologist and geochemist at the Observatorio Vulcanológico y Sismológico de Costa - Universidad Nacional (Heredia, Costa Rica). He obtained a PhD in volcanic volatile geochemistry from the University of New Mexico (USA) in 2013. Since then his work has focused on volcanic gas monitoring and the geochemistry of hydrothermal systems with the aims of understanding and predicting volcanic eruptions and constraining volatile element cycling through subduction zones.
