Artist-at-Sea
Pablo Penchaszadeh was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In Buenos Aires, he was a disciple from the Spanish ceramist and sculptor José María Lanús, training later in Mar del Plata with painter Pablo Bobbio. As a marine biologist, he had the opportunity to explore environments with great luminosity and open spaces. His prolonged stay in Venezuela, where he was a Full Professor at the prestigious Universidad Simón Bolívar, made him master the handling of colors with a great tropical influence. His search of textures and transparencies led him to experiment with very varied substrates, mediums and techniques.
