Robert Marquina Herrera is an Oceanographer Technician of the Instituto del Mar del Peru, in the Marine Benthos Laboratory of the Biological Oceanography Unit, since 1990, and has participated in several scientific expeditions aboard national and international research vessels, as a member of the group of researchers of the oceanographic component. Specializing in the analysis of soft-bottom macrobenthos, he has participated in different research cruises collecting and analyzing samples of the different oceanographic components, in addition to being responsible for the maintenance and operation of benthos and sediment sampling equipment, he knows and operates sampling equipment of the different oceanographic components.He is very interested and happy to participate in this cruise, it is a great opportunity to learn about the deep sea and the species that live there.
