Susanna Michael is a graduate student in Chemical Oceanography at the University of Washington working with Dr. Joe Resing. She received her B.A. in Chemistry and French Studies from Smith College. Her research focuses on trace metal distributions in the western Pacific. Aboard the Falkor, she will be responsible for measuring dissolved iron using flow injection analysis, data that will be used for her PhD thesis. In her free time, Susanna enjoys Ultimate Frisbee, baking, and painting by numbers.
