Alexis Floback received a PhD from University of Southern California in 2025 on trace metal biogeochemistry. Currently, she is a postdoctoral scholar working on the SUBSEA project with Nick Hawco at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, where she is working to understand the controls on trace metal cycling across the lower euphotic zone in the North Pacific, at station ALOHA, and the South Atlantic. Her main interests involve trying to understand the interplay between trace metals and microbial metabolism.
