Catherine Wardell is a seafloor and habitat mapping scientist at the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton, United Kingdom. She has an MSci in Oceanography and is also undertaking a PhD in habitat mapping at the University of Southampton. Following her MSci degree she worked as a hydrographic surveyor before returning to academia and has extensive experience of shipboard, autonomous underwater vehicle and remotely operated vehicle data acquisition, processing and survey planning.
