Emery Nolasco is an AUV (Autonomous Underwater Vehicle) Operations Engineer at MBARI (Monterey Bay Aquarium Research Institute). She graduated from the University of California, Merced with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. During her time at UC Merced, Emery was president of the Robotics Society competing in Autonomous Land Vehicles and Combat robots. She also worked on systems for UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles) as a research technician for MESA ( Mechatronics Embedded Systems and Automation) Labs. In her professional career, she was a Mechanical Engineer for AeroVironment working on their small UAVs then a Transducer Engineer for L3 Ocean Systems.
