Hunter Adams

I’m an early-career ocean technician with the SUBSEA project at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. Originally from Texas, I earned my B.S. in Oceanography and M.S. in Business from Texas A&M University. As an undergraduate, I researched trace gas concentrations in the Gulf of Mexico and worked on reduced biogeochemical modeling at Los Alamos National Laboratory. After graduating, I spent a year as a UNOLS MATE intern aboard several research vessels, supporting marine technicians and gaining hands on experience across a range of research cruises. Today, I help the SUBSEA team safely collect data at sea. Outside of work, I love spending time outdoors (surfing, hiking, and camping) and I enjoy practicing new skills like photography and sewing.
