Javiera Fuentes, a Robotics Engineering graduate from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, is pursuing her Master's degree at the same institution. Since 2020, she has been a member of the CoMPAS lab led by Dr. Giancarlo Troni. The lab focuses on developing cost-effective autonomous tools and methods for ocean exploration. Javiera's research in the lab revolves around 3D underwater reconstruction using laser scanners. She also leads the Chilean student team Caleuche, dedicated to developing an Autonomous Surface Vehicle to be part of the Maritime RobotX Challenge.
