Megan Francis is an undergraduate sophomore majoring in marine biology. This is her very first expedition on a research cruise, and she’s very excited about being aboard the RV Falkor (too). She is focused on gaining exposure to field work in an effort to ask better questions about the future of marine conservation and strengthening fragile ecosystems. It’s her dream to study the intersection between human health and marine life in order to improve treatment for illness and defend conservation efforts.
