Nicky Wright is currently completing a Ph.D. at the University of Sydney, Australia. Her research focuses on the effect of oceanic gateways on palaeoclimate throughout the Cenozoic. Her previous work included refining the tectonic history of the Pacific Ocean basin from the Late Cretaceous (83 Ma) to present day, and investigating the relative Pacific seafloor spreading history surrounding the timing of the Hawaiian-Emperor Bend.
