Simon Spagnol holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in Physics from James Cook University. Simon has over 19 years of experience as an experimental scientist working in the coastal oceanographic field at Australia’s premiere tropical marine research agency. With diverse working responsibilities including experimental data collection design, instrument setup and deployment, hydrodynamic model setup, calibration and analysis, data analysis and visualisation, report preparation, client training, budget preparation and fieldwork logistics for a variety of coastal oceanographic field studies. Outside of research, he stays as far as possible from the sea.
