Tomoko Takahashi is a Project Research Associate at Institute of Industrial Science, University of Tokyo, specializing in the use of laser spectroscopy in ocean chemical analysis. She graduated with a B. A. in Engineering at the University of Tokyo where she went on to receive her M. A. and PhD in Environmental Studies. Having completed her PhD in 2017 in underwater laser induced breakdown spectroscopy, she has started her new project about development a Raman spectroscopic system to measure suspended particles in aquatic environments.
