Dr Will White is senior curator of the Australian National Fish Collection at CSIRO in Hobart. Will’s main research area is taxonomy and systematics of sharks and rays. He has more than 20 years’ experience in the collection, identification, preservation and description of new shark and ray species. He has also authored numerous books on sharks and rays of various countries and regions, including Borneo, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, the Persian Gulf as well as co-authoring the recent Rays of the World book. Will has led various projects in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea examining the fisheries catches and providing biodiversity baseline data.
